1 donation, is 455mL, and will save 3 lives.
My dad has a 50 year Red Cross Donation pin, which works out to be about 60 donations, or 190 lives.
Interestingly, because of my time in Mexico, I can't donate for 6 months, but all the time in Cairo doesn't matter. No matter that Mexico was infinitely cleaner than Cairo, apparantlly (and somewhat obviously) they only care about blood borne virii, so p7uking your guts out endlessly because of a parasite (or worse) is OK, but that one mosquito bite is too much.
When Dad is here in May, he can donate the day he arrives! (Not too many mosquitos in Oman)
