Really? Remove the battery? Twice?
And what happened to apps which gracefully replace themselves with the latest version?
Every time a remove the battery, my Curve takes 10 minutes to be useable.

Wednesday, December 1st, 2010Secret Blackberry Codes
Thursday, November 11th, 2010Address book crapped out on me, couldn’t “find” anything, even though all my contacts where there.
Battery out reset didn’t help.
The secret address book rebuild code on this site did the trick.
I am so three one three three seven.
Evernote – Was awesome, now starting to suck
Saturday, January 23rd, 2010The 3.5 client is so slow and cumbersome compared to their 3.1 client. Also, after waiting patiently for a blackberry device that supports their client, it fails to install due to an unsupported carrier. Srsly. WTF has my carrier got to do with a free web-based app. Oh, and apparently the Evernote BB app is just a redirection into their website, which totally misses the point of having a notes database on your phone, because, well, err, it isn’t on your phone.
iPod Touch + bluetooth + 3g phone != internet access
Wednesday, October 28th, 2009Well, that’s sad. I’ve been considering an iPod Touch, but I just found out that you can’t use it’s bluetooth to connect to the internet via another phone. Why not? Probably because if you want to do that, you should buy an iPhone. Which is not an option, since I have to carry a Blackberry for work, and I’m not about to carry 2 phones.
Update: Well, nowadays you’d probably just use the Wifi Hotspot feature of iOS 4+. This is supposedly coming to the latest Blackberry OS too, but we’ll have to wait and see on that one.
Separate Work and Personal Messages on your Blackberry
Thursday, October 15th, 2009Ever since I got Gmail working on my blackberry, I’ve been unhappy with the fact that my personal email is mixed in with my work email.
There are solutions that require administrative access to the BES (which I don’t have), others which require a purchase (which I haven’t tried yet) and there is talk about how this feature may be coming in future versions.
For now, the answer seems to be saved searches:
Evernote for BlackBerry Is Here, well, almost. Actually not for most of us.
Tuesday, May 12th, 2009Evernote for BlackBerry Is Here.
The, much (read: MUCH) requested, native Evernote for BlackBerry is now available. Yes, it’s true. BlackBerry® owners, you now get a slick app to create new notes and search through all of your existing Evernote content.
Well, not quite. Only compatible with Bold, Curve 8900 series, and Storm. Oh, and only available through the Blackberry app store, which is only in UK and North America. So, not quite so awesome at all, really.
